The website presents the full range of services provided by Samariterbund Wien, including emergency response, social assistance, care and nursing services, civil service (Zivildienst), volunteering opportunities, and donation campaigns.
It features a dynamic news and blog system used to publish daily activities, operational updates, public announcements, and organizational reports. The platform is designed for easy content maintenance by non-technical editors, with modular page structures, reusable content elements, and a clear editorial workflow. Strong emphasis is placed on accessibility, responsive design, and clear navigation, ensuring usability across desktop and mobile devices. The website also integrates newsletter subscriptions, social media channels, and prominent donation call-to-actions, supporting community engagement and transparency while strengthening the organization’s public presence in Vienna.

Approach
Our approach focused on building a sustainable, scalable, and editor-friendly digital platform that reflects the humanitarian values of Samariterbund Wien. TYPO3 was selected as the core CMS to balance flexibility with long-term stability, ensuring the system can evolve alongside the organization’s growing needs.
Information architecture was carefully planned to serve multiple user groups, including citizens seeking help, volunteers, donors, civil service applicants, and institutional partners. Content pathways were designed to minimize friction and guide users quickly to relevant services and actions.
A modular design system was implemented to allow flexible content creation while maintaining visual consistency and brand identity. This approach enables editors to create new pages and campaigns efficiently without compromising design quality or performance.
